PIN has had a very productive day in New York City.
First, talked to a movie producer who is making a documentary about homelessness in America and it looks like he will be bringing his camera crew to Virginia Beach to film how PIN is helping homeless people. It's not official yet but he seemed very excited about the possibility. He would most likely come back again during our Ping Pong Tournament to get more footage.
Second, Talked to Jonathan Bricklin who is part owner of Spin New York and Spin has committed to be part of Ping Pong for Poverty. I have a meeting with Jonathan tomorrow at 10AM to have further conversations about what that would look like, but he is really excited about what we are doing.
Thirdly, Got to meet Susan Sarandon and tell her about PIN and how it has grown from handing out sandwiches to homeless people to a growing organization that is helping homeless people in Virginia Beach. She seemed very interested in what we are doing, and asked some great questions. So then I asked her if she would come to Virginia Beach to be part of the tournament, she seemed interested, but may have a scheduling conflict. Those of you that know me know I don't give up easy so we will still try to find a way to make it work.
When I get home I will post some pictures and videos.
