Charles Mills is an amazing volunteer that has been a huge blessing for PIN the last 6 years. Charles is one of the most selfless servants I have ever had the privilege to serve with. Charles is headed to Thailand to share God's love there and we had a huge going away party at Grand Affairs to celebrate with him. Below is pictures from his party...

I'm sure you heard about the homeless people being asked to vacate a site in the Seatack section of Virginia Beach. If you haven't here is a link to the story http://www.wavy.com/dpp/news/local_news/homeless-campers-evicted-from-tent-city I've had so many people ask me what they can do, so here is how you can help.
1) First Pray, I believe if everyone in Virginia Beach prayed for the homeless it would make a huge difference.
2) There is not enough shelter for the homeless that is why allot of them live in the woods in the first place. So that leads me to my question. Would you donate to an emergency shelter to house the homeless? PIN wants to build a place for people like the one's getting evicted.
3) My last question for now? If it was your decision would you allow a shelter to be built a mile from your house? I ask the question because I want to know how bad you want to help people who are currently homeless.

Sorry one last question would you change your answer to 2 and 3 above if that homeless person was your child?

Forefront Church was the first Church to support PIN, and for that matter Forefront was the first organization of any type to give support in both finances and volunteers. So it is always exciting for PIN when we get to hang out with Forefront Church.

I'm excited about a new blog series that I'm going to do every Thursday where I give an inside look at jobs within PIN. I'm hoping to give everyone an inside look at what makes PIN tick. So make sure you check out the blog every Thursday, or you can subscribe to our blog at http://pinministry.org/. Today we will focus on our Sunday food line. We serve up to 250 people on Sunday's providing an Awesome meal catered by Grand Affairs. Our core volunteers James Fisher, Dave Stinson, and Indy Freeman, who do a great job of coordinating volunteers and making sure everyone gets feed and always keeping a smile on their face. We have Churches sign up each week to help serve the meal. In this video the Church helping is Church of the Redeemer

 Grace Bible Church  is a huge supporter of PIN, and a real servant hearted Church in Virginia Beach. So, it is not a suprise that their young people came out to PIN, and did a great job serving the dinner last Sunday. Check out this video

Today, I'm visiting all of the families that are in PIN's housing program. PIN owns 3 mobile homes and leases 2 houses from the City of Virginia Beach. Our houses all have families in them and for the most part they are doing very well. It is really cool when I get to see the progress that these families are making. PIN gives the families a safe place to get their lives on the right track.

Had a great time at PIN's Board of Directors meeting. It is a privilege to work for such a great group of people. PIN's Board of Directors provide oversight, prayer, and encouragement for all of PIN's staff and volunteers. Love hanging out with them.
