It sure is hot out here so it must be July. Is everyone ready to watch some fireworks and eat some barbecue? The golf tournament was a great success and we hope everyone who came out to golf had a great time. For those golfers who missed out, plan on being there next year because it is a fun way to spend the afternoon.

To all of our concert volunteers, get ready for July because we have a busy month of concerts. PIN is looking for companies that want to be part of a cool event that will raise money to help the homeless of Virginia Beach. On Friday, October 1st and Saturday, October 2nd we’ll be having our 2nd Annual Ping Pong for Poverty at Corporate Landing Middle School in Virginia Beach. This event is really starting to take off. This year we have a national event sponsor, Sports Authority and we have 2 great days of fun planned.
Here's the schedule:

Friday October 1, 2010 – Celebrity Kick Off Fundraiser
6PM to 9PM
We will have a world class table tennis exhibition by Scott Priess, who is a US National Table tennis coach and trainer, and his son Austin Priess, who is a 9 time US National table tennis junior champion and future Olympic hopeful. Come play table tennis with Olympic athletes!

Saturday October 2, 2010 – Amateur Ping Pong Tournament
7:30AM Check In; 8AM Tournament Begins; 6PM Awards Ceremony
We will break the tournament into different skill groups, so even if you are a
beginner you will get to play against other beginners. Come play one of the fastest growing sports in the United States.

This is going to be two great days of fun for the entire family.

Comedy Night will be Friday, November 5th at Grand Affairs – Every year PIN has an amazing night of comedy to celebrate our anniversary. This year we will be celebrating our 8th year as an organization and we want to invite your company to sponsor a table. This is a great way to advertise your company as you help the homeless of Virginia Beach. This year's event will be the best we have had yet. • Ping Pong for Poverty – Please pray that we will get some interest from companies that would be willing to sponsor our Ping Pong Tournament.

• Comedy Night – Please pray that some companies will want to sponsor our comedy night.

• Picnic Shelter – PIN is putting together an outdoor picnic shelter that can be used by the homeless when they are not inside the church on Saturday and Sunday. We are very close, but really need some prayer because we are trying to get the necessary permits from the City of Virginia Beach.
