Fall is Here – Help Keep our Homeless Neighbors Warm

As the long days of summer give way to the crisp air of fall, our community feels the shift in more ways than just changing leaves. For many of us, cooler evenings mean pulling out a favorite sweater or layering up before heading outside. But for our homeless neighbors, the transition to fall brings a new set of challenges—staying warm, safe, and healthy as temperatures begin to drop.

At PiN Ministry, we see firsthand how vital warm clothing becomes during this season. Every day, men and women come through our doors seeking not just food, showers, and support, but also the basic essentials to stay comfortable and protected from the cold. Pants, sweaters, and jackets aren’t luxuries—they’re lifelines.

Our daily services provide these items free of charge, thanks to the generosity of people like you. Each donated sweater or coat is more than just fabric—it’s dignity, comfort, and hope. It reminds someone that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

As the weather cools, our shelves grow empty faster. The need is great, but together we can make a difference. If you have gently used fall and winter clothing tucked away in your closet—or the means to pick up a new item during your next shopping trip—we encourage you to donate.

Let’s meet this season of change with compassion. Your simple act of giving can help someone face the colder days ahead with warmth and courage.
